Blink is a DVB-S2- and CCSDS-compatible, pure software wideband satellite modem.
Its modular architecture supports a variety of delivery options for a range of different environments and requirements. It provides three main packages.
Blink Modem
Multi-mission software package for wideband RF signal and CCSDS and DVB-S2 front-end processing and analysis that includes:
- a wide variety of modulation and coding schemes, with support for variable and adaptive coding and modulation
- state-of-the-art processing reports with 50+ types of supported events, an interactive timeline and many other features
- advanced monitor & control capabilities based on our Monica M&C solution, providing access control, alarming, automation, a web UI and a REST SPI, among other features
Blink Modem can be integrated with COTS RF digitizers or SDRs to provide a modern, flexible and cost-effective modem and front-end processor.
Blink Ultra experimental digitizer
Blink Ultra is a 1U, 2RX + 1TX modern digitizer and signal generator equipped with 16-bit ADCs and DACs and a 40 Gb/s network. In conjunction with Blink Modem, it provides a standalone satellite payload receiver and analyzer as a part of your ground data acquisition station.
Blink Station
Blink Station extends Blink Modem monitor and control to include concepts like a satellite pass, mission-aware scheduling, testing capabilities and allows control of additional equipment beyond the software modem, like switches, up/downconverters, antennas etc. and is just as capable in operations as it is is assembly, integration, verification and testing.
